Aric Turrell

Aric enjoys being part of the Art Gallery where he is able to participate in events, classes, art shows, and projects. This has allowed him to meet new people and make new friends. In 2019, he and his brother Sean joined with other members to work on two projects. The group met weekly with residents of Heritage Village. Aric taught painting and worked with residents to create original art. While working and communicating with them he learned about the residents lives and about helping others.

sKYLINES SHOW

Aric is currently showing two pieces of his original artwork in the Skylines show. He created these framed pieces in marker. Aric enjoys imaginative characters to be a part of his work. The above work is titled Dragon Protecting The City.

Aric also enjoyed working on the paintings for the ComEd project. Aric learned many new techniques from the volunteer staff and enjoyed the time spent with his friends while working. From the project, Aric has decided to to create new art both traditionally and digitally. He is building 3D outdoor scenes with building blocks and various household items. Aric always look forward to new programs, new art shows, and chances to learn and be with friends.

Aric designed the layout for this piece which was part the Comed project. Aric’s vision was drawn and painted with Aric and other members of the Art As A Business Group.
