Questions about Digital Art Class

Our collaborative group of artists work together to create projects which are designed to further their art career. We welcome artists of all skill levels! We are currently working in groups of 5 participating in Digital Art Classes made possible in part by grants from ComEd and Walmart. This program is both in the studio classroom setting as well as through a home based Zoom meetings.

Community Workshops with Olivet Nazarene University

Olivet students work with Merchant Street Art Gallery to offer a variety of courses throughout the school year. The college students who major in Art Therapy and Special Education provide programming geared for our members.

HeArt Ministry

Another group, part of the Olivet Nazarene student ministries, is HeArt. This art-based group organizes activities throughout the school year where artists explore the connection between art and expression. Art Events By Olivet Student Volunteers

Throughout the school year and summer, we have various activities and events where our members can participate at no cost or for a small fee to cover materials. This cooperation between student volunteers produces several craft classes designed to stimulate creativity and conversation, which can sometimes be difficult for people on the spectrum. The atmosphere of creativity allows for a relaxed and comfortable setting for the participants. Our Puppet Shows have also been a popular activity for all ages and are written, designed, and produced by our members under the direction of the Olivet volunteers.
